Hi. McAfee recently became a Gold sponsor of Stop Cyberbullying – An International Conference to Address Cyberbullying, Solutions and Industry Best Practices.
The conference, the world’s first dedicated entirely to the issue of cyberbullying, will run for two days next week and is organized by Parry Aftab, a well known expert on cybersecurity issues.
McAfee sponsored this event because we support the work of Parry, Wired Safety and all the other parents and kids working together to fight this new incarnation of an age old problem. As a leading provider of computer security products - products that protect people from identity theft, harmful software and malicious websites, we feel we can be of service to help groups like Wired Safety bring the message home that cyber bullying is serious, pervasive, hurtful and even deadly.
I'll be blogging Tuesday's portion of the conference and look forward to sharing any advice, insights and news I gather at the event.
See you next week.

Thanks for providing a live blog for this event. You know we see McAfee as an important partner in the fight against cyberrisks.
I was amazed at how many people didnt know about your new Internet Safety Plan Guide. I wish I had written it. :-)
I'd love to see comments and questions that you receive during the conference and try to get them addressed from the experts there.
Conn. Attorney General Richard Blumenthal will be keynoting, followed by Tina Meier (the mom of cyberbullying and suicide victim, megan Meier) and Debra Johston (mom of cyberbullying and suicide victim Jeff Johnston).
Verizon's Chairman and CEO is our luncheon speaker. Newscorp (home of MySpace), Facebook, Microsoft, AOL, Girl Scouts, Anti-Defamation League, CNN, Runescape, myYearbook, Buzznet, KidZui, Disney, FTC Commissioner Pamela Harbour, The Ontario Privacy and Information Commission, Pace University, CMP, our award-winning Teenangels, Protcer & Gamble, and others are attending, speaking or sponsoring.
We're event webcasting some of the panels and keynotes live.
As a fellow blogger (parryaftab.blogspot.com) I want to get feedback and imput.
Looking forward to working together!
Parry
